Warmer end to May

The Month of May has been characterised by thundery rainfall and showers so far. As we head towards the last few days of the month the trend is for drier weather. By the start of June things will be drier and warmer with temperatures of up to 21c. There will still be some showers though a lot of the guidance has the shower activity to the South and East. Depending on the circulation around the Low these showers can happen anywhere but Lows to the South and Highs to the North seem to be the prevailing pattern in the outlook. In any case this would suggest that winds will not be from a West or Northwest direction much.
