Weather to settle down somewhat

So March is now upon us.

The mad storms and rain drops of Winter have not left us just yet with some heavy showers but we have all noticed quite a lot more in the way of sunshine than we had been used to and thats a good thing. Sunshine figures are actually going to increase as the month progresses and there is the potential for some very mild days before St Patricks Day.

Temperatures so far this year have been in single figures most of the time for Ireland but it does look like they will climb into double figures quite a lot of the time in March and they may even get to 15 or 16c.

As always St Patricks Day looks a bit dodgy with cooler air for a time and temperatures of 7 to 10c but after this it gets mild again and the temperature will be 13c.

Rainfall for March 2014 will continue the trend of recent years and be quite low though perhaps not quite as low as the cold March of 2013.
