Summer 2011 would appear to be over after just 4 good days. The charts are repeating a North-West/South-East split for the rest of June and into July there does not appear much change. SO if you live in the Southeast there will be some sunny days from time to time but if you live in the North and West these will be fewer and temperatures will be around normal or slightly cooler at times. Sorry for the bad news.
long range weather forecast is a joke you can't forecast later than two weeks, although i do agree this summer is a write off, it was always going to happen after all the lovely weather we got in April.
ReplyDelete"it was always going to happen after all the lovely weather we got in April"
ReplyDeleteThought you didn't believe in long range forecasting?
Lol. If you click on June, this is what you get:
ReplyDelete"A cloudy but warm June is now in the long range prediction charts"
It's was waaaaaaaay off. It was cold cold cold. And cloudy. And pretty wet.
July is looking to be the same
Granted the predictions are only just that. They are a guide exact.
ReplyDeleteAny of you could do the same forecasts.
Variability does make long range forecasting quite difficult and for some of you a waste of time but thank you for all the feedback all the same.
I will keep working on my predictions and if they are wrong then thats the beauty of the unpredictable Irish climate.
If you want a more accurate scientific approach to the climate go to www.met.ie but if you just want a personal overview rightly or wrongly keep on coming to poor old www.weathergossip.com where forecasts are wrong but forecasts are long! lol,- system admin
p.s. july will be better than june (please be right!!)
