Cold Spell November 2017
Tuesday, November 14, 2017
Wintry weather on way
The following 2 weeks will see half and half type weather. Half the time in Ireland it will be mild with temperatures of 10 to 13c while half the time it will be cold with temperatures at 6 to 10c. As is usually the case in this set up there will be more sun on the colder days and more rain on the milder ones.
Frosty nights are sure to feature too with minima down as low as -3c though there is a risk that towards the end of the month values could dip below minus 5.

Could Hurricane Ophelia hit Ireland
There is a huuricane developing in the mid Atlantic that is headed towards Europe on Monday. Whether it retains its hurricane characteristics is open to question but certainly an interesting and potentially damaging development for Ireland.
