Junes warm spell has ended and June 8th saw a temperature of 25.3c being recorded in Newport CO Mayo. On this day also 25c was recorded in a lot of Co Mayo and 24c was recorded in other Atlantic coasts as for once the East saw the brunt of the cooler temperatures with Dublin Airport only managing 18.9c on the same day.
Now however we are all cool once again and it looks a hard spell to break. However the High Pressure over the Azores will try to bring some warmer air to Ireland at times and it would be expected that the rest of June would turn out something like this. This is a bit inaccurate but I would expect a few warmer spells and then some lows to the North will be breaking the High Pressure ridges so dates cannot be confirmed.
